Split site one, the Artificial or Lure, draws on the notion of camouflage and is in this way the signifier for the project’s grounding, not only in metaphor but also in deconstructive discourse. It is the Lure that seduces. The nature of the Artificial is to imitate; to be a metaphorical object of desire: enigmatic and capricious. The Artificial mediates through all the other objects in the system developing its space of information. It is the conduit through which all information is shared between object sites within the system. While the Artificial is passed from split site two to split site three it is never consumed by them, to be consumed would be to lose its essence of control.
